The Newtown Nighthawks the visiting Bunnell Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 4-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT) in a Southwest - Colonial challenge, on Sunday, May 18. Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 17-0 league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT).

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Rebels enter the Southwest - Colonial challenge with a 6-9 record.
