Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), 18-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Eastside improves its record to 17-2 on the year. The Spartans travel to Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Cumberland game on Friday, May 16. The Pioneers enter the game with a record of 0-12. Thomas Walker lost 10-0 in their recent league game against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)

The Blue Devils now hold a 3-13 record.
