Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD), 6-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Catoctin improves its record to 17-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Fallston (Fallston, MD) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, May 16. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 18-5. Fallston won 8-6 in their recent non-league game against Patterson Mill (Bel Air, MD)

The Cavaliers now hold a 14-6 record.
