East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Morton Potters (Morton, IL), 9-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, East Peoria improves its record to 18-12 on the year. The Raiders host Metamora (Metamora, IL) to play the Redbirds in a Mid-Illini game on Tuesday, May 20. The Redbirds enter the game with a record of 22-6.

The Potters now hold a 6-22 record. They play next when they host Normal University for a non-league game on Saturday, May 17. Morton will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 12-16.
