In Thursday's league match, the host Manchester Greyhounds softball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Fairfield Lions.
The Greyhounds (16-3) will now prepare for their match against Fairfield (Leesburg, OH). The Lions go into the Southern Hills Athletic match with a 16-4 record. In their last match, Fairfield tipped West Union (West Union, OH), 13-1, in a league match.
