The Mineral Point Pointers triumphed over the host Fennimore Golden Eagles softball squad by a count of 13-2 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Pointers meet the Iowa-Grant Panthers (Livingston, WI) in a SWAL challenge, on Monday, May 19. Mineral Point will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 15-7 league win over Darlington (Darlington, WI).
The Golden Eagles (16-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Darlington (Darlington, WI). The Redbirds enter the SWAL challenge with a 2-14 record.
