The Plainfield Central Wildcats triumphed over the host Joliet Central Steelmen softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge, on Monday, May 19. Plainfield Central will attempt to upgrade on its 15-12 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 16-13 record after their 5-4 league loss to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL).
The Steelmen (1-26) will now prepare for their challenge against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans enter the Suburban Prairie - South challenge with a 4-18 record. In their last challenge, Romeoville was routed by Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL), 12-2, in a non-league challenge.
