The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans (Edison, NJ) and the host Metuchen Bulldogs (Metuchen, NJ), observed St. Thomas Aquinas's softball team prevail over Metuchen by a tally of 10-0.
The Trojans (15-3) will now prepare for their bout against Colonia (Colonia, NJ). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 13-8 record. In their last bout, Colonia knocked off South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ), 4-3, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Dunellen Destroyers (Dunellen, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 17. Metuchen will attempt to advance on its 2-16 season record. The Destroyers go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Somerville (Somerville, NJ).
