Massachusetts High School Baseball - Westport prevails Arlington

The Westport Wildcats (Westport, MA) baseball trounced the host Arlington Spy Ponders (Arlington, MA), 18-9 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 10-13 record. They take the field next when they host Holbrook for a Mayflower 1 challenge on Monday, May 18. Westport will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-4 league win over Avon (Avon, MA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-9.

With the defeat, Arlington drops to 12-7 on the year. The Spy ponders travel to Lexington (Lexington, MA) to clash with the Minutemen in a Middlesex - Liberty challenge on Tuesday, May 19. The Minutemen go into the challenge with a record of 8-10. Lexington lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Belmont (Belmont, MA)
