The Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH) baseball trounced the host Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 21-5 in Friday's league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 16. Crestview will clash with a Whippets team coming off a 9-4 league win over Marion Harding (Marion, OH). The Whippets record now stands at 12-8.

With the defeat, Mapleton drops to 2-18 on the year. The Mounties travel to Western Reserve (Collins, OH) to clash with the Roughriders in a Firelands challenge on Saturday, May 16. The Roughriders go into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Western Reserve won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Mansfield Christian (Mansfield, OH)
