In Monday's league challenge, the George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) baseball squad edged the host Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), by a final score of 2-1.
With the win, George Stevens Academy upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Searsport (Searsport, ME) to battle the Vikings in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 18. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 8-4. Searsport won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Sumner (East Sullivan, ME)
The Raiders (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 9-2 record. In their last game, Ellsworth tipped John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME), 5-1, in a league game.
