The Field Falcons nipped the host Coventry Comets softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Monday's league battle.
The Falcons (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hubbard (Hubbard, OH). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 17-3 record. In their last battle, Hubbard held off Struthers (Struthers, OH), 14-1, in a league battle.
The Comets now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Keystone for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 17. Coventry will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Columbia (Columbia Station, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 20-5.
