The Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) baseball trounced the host Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT), 9-1 in Tuesday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions encounter the St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - Division IV contest, on Thursday, May 18. Wheeler will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Saints come into the contest with a 14-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT).
