Classical Purples (Providence, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the visiting East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), 6-4 in a league battle.

The Purples now have a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a Division 4 battle on Thursday, May 18. Classical will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Lions record now stands at 11-2.

In their next game, the Townies clash with the North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) in a Division 4 battle, on Thursday, May 18. East Providence will attempt to move on its 1-12 season record. The Northmen come into the battle with a 7-4 record after their 12-5 league win over Tiverton (Tiverton, RI).
