Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers (Norfolk, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Norcom will battle a Hurricanes squad coming off a 13-2 league loss to Bethel (Hampton, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-17.

With the loss, Booker T. Washington falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Mighty bookers host Granby (Norfolk, VA) to battle the Comets in a Eastern challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 16-2. Granby won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Manor (Portsmouth, VA)
