The Dunlap Eagles routed the visiting Morton Potters softball squad by a final score of 9-2 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Eagles (18-7) will now prepare for their battle against Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Redbirds go into the Mid-Illini battle with a 25-3 record. In their last battle, Metamora held off Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Potters now possess a 4-21 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Mid-Illini battle on Thursday, May 18. Morton will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 22-5.
