The Lincoln-Way East Griffins softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Sandburg Eagles to 1 in the Griffins league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Lincoln-Way East moves its record to 23-4 on the year. The Griffins host Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a SouthWest Suburban game on Thursday, May 18. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 10-11. Homewood-Flossmoor won 6-5 in their recent non-league game against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs (Chicago, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 17. Sandburg will attempt to move on its 9-18 season record. The Mighty Macs come into the game with a 12-13 record after their 5-5 non-league Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL).
