Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Millville Quakers (Millville, PA), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Griffins now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Towanda for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Sullivan County will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Troy (Troy, PA). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Millville falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Quakers travel to Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA) to battle the Golden Knights in a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Golden Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Neumann Regional Academy won 19-6 in their recent league challenge against Benton (Benton, PA)
