The Newaygo Lions softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Tri County Area Vikings to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Newaygo moves its record to 15-7 on the year. The Lions host Ravenna (Ravenna, MI) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, May 19. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 12-1.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Fremont Packers (Fremont, MI) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 17. Tri County Area will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record.
