Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Buckhorns now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host Scranton Prep for a Lackawanna 1 challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Wallenpaupack Area will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to West Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Scranton falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to West Scranton (Scranton, PA) to battle the Invaders in a Lackawanna 1 challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Invaders enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. West Scranton won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA)
