Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bellaire Eagles (Bellaire, MI), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 24-2 record. They take the field next when they host East Jordan for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22.

With the loss, Bellaire falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pellston (Pellston, MI) to battle the Hornets in a Ski-Valley challenge on Monday, May 20. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 2-3.
