In Thursday's non-league contest, the Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Boulder City Eagles (Boulder City, NV), by a margin of 14-9.

With the triumph, Fernley moves its record to 23-13 on the year. The Vaqueros travel to Churchill County (Fallon, NV) to play the Greenwave in a non-league contest on Friday, May 17. The Greenwave come into the contest with a record of 20-6. Churchill County won 5-0 in their recent non-league contest against Pahrump Valley (Pahrump, NV)

In their next game, the Eagles play the Pahrump Valley Trojans (Pahrump, NV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 17. Boulder City will attempt to move on its 23-7 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 19-8 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Churchill County (Fallon, NV).
