The Homer Mariners softball team scored 22 runs and limited the visiting Redington Huskies to 5 in the Mariners league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Homer improves its record to 12-17 on the year. The Mariners travel to Kodiak (Kodiak, AK) to clash with the Bears in a Northern Lights game on Friday, May 17. The Bears come into the game with a record of 15-3. Kodiak won 13-1 in their recent league game against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK)

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Wasilla Warriors (Wasilla, AK) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 17. Redington will attempt to improve on its 5-20 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 9-16 record after their 10-1 league loss to Colony (Palmer, AK).
