The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Mt. Markham Mustangs (West Winfield, NY) and the host Clinton Comets (Clinton, NY), saw Mt. Markham's baseball team gain a win over Clinton by a tally of 9-0.

The Mustangs (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ). The Crusaders enter the non-league battle with a 6-14 record. In their last battle, Morris Catholic was overwhelmed by Parsippany (Parsippany, NJ), 4-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Comets face the Westmoreland Bulldogs (Westmoreland, NY) in a Section 3 Center State I battle, on Monday, May 19. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 1-8 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Oriskany (Oriskany, NY).
