The Lafayette Rams baseball squad (Williamsburg, VA), was edged 4-3 in Friday's league contest with the host Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA)

With the triumph, Poquoson moves its record to 8-6 on the season. The Islanders travel to Bethel (Hampton, VA) to confront the Bruins in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 17. The Bruins come into the contest with a record of 9-7. Bethel lost 8-2 in their recent league contest against Denbigh (Newport News, VA)

The Rams now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grafton for a Bay Rivers contest on Saturday, May 17. Lafayette will confront a Clippers squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Clippers record now stands at 13-4.
