The New Richmond Tigers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Superior Spartans to 4 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.

The Tigers now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chippewa Falls for a Big Rivers test on Tuesday, May 20. New Richmond will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 12-11 non-league loss to Tomah (Tomah, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-6.

With the defeat, Superior drops to 7-14 on the year. The Spartans travel to Hibbing (Hibbing, MN) to clash with the Bluejackets in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 20. The Bluejackets go into the test with a record of 9-4. Hibbing won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Cloquet (Cloquet, MN)
