Massachusetts High School Baseball - North Reading wallops Newburyport

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) and the host Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA), saw North Reading's baseball team gain a win over Newburyport by a tally of 15-0.

The Hornets (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Stoneham (Stoneham, MA). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Stoneham was overwhelmed by Melrose (Melrose, MA), 5-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Clippers face the Haverhill Hillies (Haverhill, MA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 19. Newburyport will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Hillies enter the battle with a 5-13 record after their 15-10 league win over Methuen (Methuen, MA).
