Illinois High School Baseball - Plainfield Central edges Plainfield South

In Friday's league game, the host Plainfield Central Wildcats baseball team scored a close 8-6 win over the Plainfield South Cougars.

The Wildcats (25-6) will now prepare for their game against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers go into the Southwest Prairie game with a 15-15 record. In their last game, Joliet West nudged Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL), 13-3, in a league game.

Next, the Cougars play the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) in a Southwest Prairie game, on Monday, May 19. Plainfield South will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Steelmen go into the game with a 5-25 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL).
