The Coventry Oakers lacrosse team (Coventry, RI), was overwhelmed 16-4 in Friday's league battle with the host North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI)
With the victory, North Smithfield advances its record to 8-7 on the season.
The Oakers now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Providence Country Day for a Division 3 battle on Saturday, May 17. Coventry will encounter a Knights team coming off a 9-5 league win over Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Knights record now stands at 3-11.
