Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host White Mountains Spartans (Whitefield, NH), 8-7 in a league game.

With the triumph, Berlin improves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Mountaineers host Belmont (Belmont, NH) to play the Red Raiders in a Division III game on Monday, May 19. The Red Raiders enter the game with a record of 7-4.

The Spartans now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Winnisquam for a Division III game on Saturday, May 17. White Mountains will play a Bears squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Gilford (Gilford, NH). The Bears record now stands at 3-7.
