The Sandy Creek Comets edged the visiting Carthage Comets softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Comets play the South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY) in a Section 3 Frontier B challenge, on Saturday, May 17. Sandy Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 12-1 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 25-2 non-league win over Watertown (Watertown, NY).
The Comets (3-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Watertown (Watertown, NY). The Cyclones enter the Section 3 Frontier A challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, Watertown was nudged by Sandy Creek (Sandy Creek, NY), 15-2, in a league challenge.
