The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) and the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), observed Lake Region's softball team prevail over Gray-New Gloucester by a tally of 11-1.

The Lakers (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Poland (Poland, ME). The Knights go into the Class B South bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Poland was routed by Lewiston (Lewiston, ME), 7-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 19. Gray-New Gloucester will attempt to advance on its 4-11 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME).
