Ohio High School Softball - New Riegel edges Lakota

In Friday's league match, the host New Riegel Blue Jackets softball team scored a tight 4-2 win over the Lakota Raiders.

The Blue Jackets (13-3) will now prepare for their match against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH). The Golden Bears come into the Sandusky Bay - River match with a 15-6 record. In their last match, Gibsonburg nipped Danbury (Lakeside, OH), 11-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Danbury Lakers (Lakeside, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River match, on Saturday, May 17. Lakota will attempt to advance on its 13-10 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 12-2 league loss to Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom, OH).
