In Friday's league test, the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), by a tally of 11-1.
Next, the Irish clash with the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) in a 6A Southwest test, on Friday, May 16. Sheldon will attempt to advance on its 16-9 season record. The Axe go into the test with a 3-18 record after their 7-2 league loss to Roseburg (Roseburg, OR).
The Axe (3-20) will now prepare for their test against Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Irish go into the 6A Southwest test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Sheldon prevailed over South Salem (Salem, OR), 15-4, in a non-league test.
