In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting LaBrae Vikings softball team scored a tight 9-6 win over the Hubbard Eagles.

The Vikings (18-7) will now prepare for their match against Mapleton (Ashland, OH). The Mounties come into the non-league match with a 22-3 record. In their last match, Mapleton nipped South Central (Greenwich, OH), 13-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Coventry Comets (Akron, OH) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 19. Hubbard will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Comets come into the match with a 14-7 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Alliance (Alliance, OH).
