The Amelia County Raiders softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Prince Edward County Eagles to 1 in the Raiders league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Amelia County moves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Raiders travel to Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA) to play the Chargers in a James River game on Wednesday, May 18. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 8-6. Lunenburg Central lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA)

In their next game, the Eagles play the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River game, on Thursday, May 19. Prince Edward County will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record. The Statesmen come into the game with a 17-2 record after their 9-0 league win over Nottoway (Nottoway, VA).
