Carbondale Area Chargers (Carbondale, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 3-11 record.

With the loss, Lakeland falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA) to battle the Wildcats in a Lackawanna 3 challenge on Wednesday, May 18. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Western Wayne lost 17-9 in their recent league challenge against Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA)
