South Rebels (Willoughby, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to North for a Western Reserve challenge on Wednesday, May 18. South will battle a Rangers squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Riverside (Painesville, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Chardon falls to 15-10 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH) to battle the Bombers in a Western Reserve challenge on Wednesday, May 18. The Bombers enter the challenge with a record of 5-13. Kenston won 14-8 in their recent league challenge against Madison (Madison, OH)
