Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Bluejays now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hamilton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 21. Shepherd will battle a Hawkeyes squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Plainwell (Plainwell, MI). The Hawkeyes record now stands at 24-4.

With the loss, Gladwin falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Flying g's travel to Pinconning (Pinconning, MI) to battle the Spartans in a Jack Pine challenge on Thursday, May 19. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
