The New Hartford Spartans softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Proctor Raiders to 1 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, New Hartford improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY) to clash with the Black Knights in a Section 3 Tri-Valley game on Thursday, May 19. The Black Knights come into the game with a record of 1-2. Rome Free Academy won 10-6 in their recent non-league game against Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY)

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Whitesboro Warriors (Marcy, NY) in a Section 3 Tri-Valley game, on Thursday, May 19. Proctor will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to New Hartford (New Hartford, NY).
