The Durfee Hilltoppers crushed the visiting New Bedford Whalers baseball team by a count of 11-2 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Hilltoppers now possess a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Dartmouth for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 18. Durfee will face a Indians team coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Brockton (Brockton, MA). The Indians record now stands at 12-5.
Next, the Whalers face the Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 19. New Bedford will attempt to move on its 4-13 season record. The Sachems enter the bout with a 10-5 record after their 13-5 non-league win over Norwell (Norwell, MA).
