The Russell County Lakers crushed the visiting Monroe County Falcons baseball team by a count of 15-5 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Lakers now possess a 21-9 record. They take the field next when they host Clinton County for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 18. Russell County will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-14.
