In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Prouty Panthers baseball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Southbridge Pioneers.
The Panthers (4-14) will now prepare for their game against Bartlett (Webster, MA). The Indians go into the non-league game with a 7-11 record. In their last game, Bartlett was edged by Bay Path RVT (Charlton, MA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
The Pioneers (2-13) will now prepare for their game against Quaboag Regional (Warren, MA). The Cougars go into the South Worcester County - West game with a 7-10 record. In their last game, Quaboag Regional was edged by Grafton (Grafton, MA), 13-6, in a league game.
