Ohio High School Softball - Springfield bounces Cloverleaf

The Springfield Spartans routed the visiting Cloverleaf Colts softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Spartans (19-5) will now prepare for their battle against Norton (Norton, OH). The Panthers go into the Portage Trail - Metro battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Norton topped Ravenna (Ravenna, OH), 14-2, in a league battle.

The Colts now sport a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Holy Name for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 18. Cloverleaf will meet a Green Wave squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Revere (Richfield, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 16-2.
