Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 17-8 record. They take the field next when they host St. Laurence for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Downers Grove North will face a Vikings squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 19-4.

With the loss, Glenbard West falls to 12-15 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 10-11. Glenbard South won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Larkin (Elgin, IL)
