Plainfield Quakers (Plainfield, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Greenwood Woodmen (Greenwood, IN), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Quakers now own a 16-10 record. They take the field next when they host Monrovia for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Plainfield will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-1 league win over Indianapolis Scecina Memorial (Indianapolis, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-16.

With the loss, Greenwood falls to 3-19 on the campaign. The Woodmen host Edinburgh (Edinburgh, IN) to battle the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 19. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Edinburgh won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Waldron (Waldron, IN)
