The Lunenburg Blue Knights (Lunenburg, MA) softball nipped the visiting Quabbin Regional Panthers (Barre, MA), 10-9 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Blue Knights (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against Clinton (Clinton, MA). The Gaels go into the non-league bout with a 16-1 record. In their last bout, Clinton held off Tyngsborough (Tyngsborough, MA), 1-0, in a league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Gardner for a Midland-Wachusett C bout on Thursday, May 18. Quabbin Regional will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Maynard (Maynard, MA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-10.
