Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 12-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Neuqua Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Metea Valley will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-11.

With the loss, Naperville Central falls to 12-20 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to battle the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 18-7. Naperville North lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)
