The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Boone Grove Wolves (Valparaiso, IN), saw Valparaiso's softball squad nip Boone Grove by a count of 7-6.

The Vikings now sport a 11-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hobart for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 21. Valparaiso will face a Brickies squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 16-7.

With the loss, Boone Grove falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Wolves host South Central (Union Mills, IN) to face the Satellites in a Porter County match on Saturday, May 18. The Satellites enter the match with a record of 20-3. South Central lost 5-2 in their recent non-league match against Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN)
