Byron Bears (Byron, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 8-5 record.

With the loss, Chatfield falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Gophers host Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 20. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-12.
